Project Description: DNT MT retained Giuliani Associates to develop a new style coffee at the bag claim area of the Main Terminal at Washington Dulles International Airport. Giuliani drew on its years of experience gained designing Starbucks and other coffee facilities throughout the country.

The 1,660 square foot concession offers point of purchase display, a complete coffee bar, refrigerated display space, and a lounge area. The design services included working within the Authority Design Manual and the branding developed by the Capitol Grounds Coffee brand.

Plumbing, HVAC, fire suppression, and electrical utility systems were modified to accommodate new foodservice equipment and facility layout. Close coordination with foodservice equipment requirements and existing base building utility feeds was required to ensure that utility distribution systems were sized appropriately.
